German WW2 National Faithful Service Medal 25 Years With Presentation Box

An original German WW2 National Faithful Service Medal 25 Years with presentation box. The medal is constructed in silvered bronze with suspension ring and blue ribbon. The obverse of the 25-Year Faithful medal depicts a silver cross with a black enamel swastika in the centre surrounded by an oak wreath. The reverse is inscribed “FUR TREUE DIENFTE” (FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE). The presentation box is constructed in red cardboard and the lid is embosed in silver with the number “25” within a cog wheel. Inside the presentation box is lined with red velvet. The medal and case has no damage or repairs in very good condition.

National Faithful Service Medal 25 Years

The Civil Service Faithful Service Medal (Treudienst-Ehrenzeichen für Beamte Angestellte und Arbeiter im öffentlichen Dienst) was a German medal of honour instituted on the 30th January 1938, in two grades to reward civilians and military for long and faithful service.  Nazi Germany medal of honour was founded on 30 January 1938, in two grades 25 years and 40 years, to reward civilians and military in the employ of the German public services for long and faithful service.

The National Faithful Service Medal Second Class award for 25 years of service was a silver cross, with a silver wreath and a black enamelled swastika in the centre of the cross.  The first-class version of the award for 40 years of service in gold, with a gold wreath and black enamelled swastika in the centre of the cross.  The reverse of both awards was stamped with “Für treue Dienste” which translates to faithful Services. The ribbon for the medal is cornflower blue.
