The Kriegsmarine Coastal Artillery badge depicts a coastal artillery flak 88 gun in the center with a German eagle clutching a swastika in its talons above, surrounded by an oval oak leaf wreath.
The award was instituted on 24th June by Admiral Erich Raeder for land based Naval Coastal and anti-aircraft personal in recognition of their achievements.
An early Kriegsmarine Minesweepers War Badge by C.E. Juncker (Minensucher-Kriegsabzeichen), constructed in tombac, with a nice silver finish on the waves and water plume. The reverse of this Kriegsmarine Minesweepers War Badge is unmarked but attributed to C.E.Juncker, Berlin, with a vertical banjo pin, block hinge, and "C" style catch. The badge has no damage or repairs with a nice patina with the majority of the gilt remaining; 53mm (h) x 44.1mm (w) weighing 26.4 grams, in good condition.
