Fire Brigade Honour Cross 1st Class Medal With Presentation Case
A scarce WW2 German Fire Brigade Honour Cross Medal 1st Class (Feuerwehr-Ehrenzeichen I. Klasse mit Etui) with presentation case. The medal is constructed in gilded tombac with a suspension loop complete with the original period ribbon. The obverse of the medal depicts a Geneva-style cross in white enamel with sylised red enamel flames with a mobile swastika in the centre in black enamel. The cross includes an outer ring in Gold “FÜR VERDIENST IM FEUER-LÖSCHWESEN” (FOR MERIT IN FIRE-FIGHTING). The medal includes a silver medal ring unmarked complete with the original ribbon striped with black, red, and white stripes. The obverse of the medal is unmarked and measures 43.35 mm (w) x 47.36 mm (h), weighing 17.2 grams. The decoration comes complete with the original presentation box the outer case is covered in black leatherette with a gold border. Inside the lid of the case is lined with white rayon material with a black felt base with a grooved medal base, with spring catch. The medal has no damage or repairs in mint condition.

A scare WW2 German Mine Rescue Honour Medal, constructed of silvered tombak with suspension ring complete with its original ribbon. The obverse bears a crossed hammer and pickaxe, overlaid by a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika. The reverse of the medal is inscribed “FÜR VERDIENSTE IM GRUBENWEHRWESEN” (FOR MERIT IN MINE RESCUE). The medal measures 35.10mm in diameter and weighs 17.2 grams and comes complete with a yellow presentation case lined with yellow felt. The medal has no damage or repairs slight sign of wear otherwise in very good condition,
