Freikorps Schlageter Badge Type II

A Freikorps Schlageter Badge Type II, an oval badge constructed in silvered bronze.  The obverse depicts a Christina cross, inscribed “Schlageter”, “Spartakus”, dated “1919/23” with crossed swords within a laurel leaves on the left, and oak leaves on the right side, separated by a bow on the bottom.

The reverse has a vertical pinback, with four prongs fully intact with makers mark “Paul Küst Abzeichen Ordenfabrik Berlin, S.W. 19” and marked “Ges. Gesch. 101” measuring 48.34 mm (w) x 60.58 mm (h); weighing 34.7 grams.  Overall the badge is in very good condition.
