Luftwaffe Radio Operator & Air Gunner Badge By C.E. Juncker With Presentation Case
An early original Luftwaffe Radio Operator & Air Gunner badge By C.E. Juncker with presentation case, constructed in tombak. The eagle has a nice dark finish, and silvered coloured wreathed with nice toning, and patina. The reverse of the badge is stamped with the maker's mark “C. E. Juncker, Berlin SW.” behind the eagle. The hardware is typical for this maker, with a barrel hinge, a round wire pin and a “C” catch. The rivets from Juncker are tight and neat, and the pin works well, with the original black coating still there. The badge comes with the presentation case covered in blue leatherette and the lid is embossed with Luftwaffen-Fliegerschützen-Abzeichen. The interior of the case lid is lined with deep blue silk and the base lined with blue velvet , with push button catch. The Luftwaffe Radio Operator & Air Gunner Badge and presentation case has no damage or repairs .

An original Luftwaffe Demjansk shield unmarked, die-struck with silver wash. The obverse depicts the national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, with a log pillbox on either side, with the inscription above “DEMJANSK”, with a frontal image of a prop plane below, with crossed swords with the date below “1942”, mounted on blue-grey woolen background. The reverse has all prongs intact, with paper backing and measures 92.2mm (h) x 51.1 mm (w). The campaign shield has no damage or repairs in very good condition.

An early Luftwaffe Radio Operators and Air Gunner badge (Luftwaffen-Funker und Luftgewehrschützen-Abzeichen), two-piece construction in silvered tombak. The obverse of the badge has nice patina with burnished wreath with nice wear. The reverse includes two rivets to secure the eagle to the wreath, with a vertical needle-style pinback with a narrow barrel hinge and a round wire catch; complete with "B&NL" makers mark for the firm Berg & Nolte in Lüdenscheid.
