The Herman Göring Panzer-Division unit was named after the Reichsmarschall started out as a Prussian Police regiment under Goring’s control during the period of consolidation of Nazi power. With the outbreak of war, it became a ground combat unit of his Luftwaffe. This size of the unit increased throughout the war and became an armoured division and by 1945 a Parachute Armoured Corps” of two-division strength.
A genuine Luftwaffe womens ‘Helferinnen’ sleeve patch, an embroidered example that depicts a Luftwaffe Eagle upon a shield with a sword in the centre on blue-grey backing cloth in very good condition.
A genuine Luftwaffe Ground Assault Badge J.E.Hammer & Söhne, die-stamped two-part construction with the eagle in tombak and the base in zink. The reverse of the badge has a vertical pin with a crimped barrel hinge with a soldered plate catch. The badge has a period repair, otherwise in good condition.
Original Luftwaffe Flak Badge die-struck constructed in silvered tombak, unmarked but attributed to C.E. Juncker, Berlin. The reverse has a barrel-style hinge soldered in place with a brass wire "C" shaped catch. This badge has no damage or repairs in very good condition.
