Militär Verwaltung Badge

A rare Militär Verwaltung badge constructed in silvered bronze issued to civilian administration staff the obverse features Wehrmacht eagle and swastika emblem in the centre, surrounded by an oval enameled by the Third Reich national colours (red, white, and black) with the inscription “Militär Verwaltung Belgien u. N. Frankreich” (Military Administration, Belgium and Northern France) in Gothic lettering.  The front badge shows some wear, with most of the silver plating on the eagle intact, and some enamel damage on the right side. The back of the badge includes a  brooch-type clutch pin; stamped with the issue number “2140” measuring 46.92mm wide in very good condition.
