The regimental cap badge adopted in 1943 1st Pattern consisted of an oval wreath with four shields bearing the letters of the REME, surmounted by Kings Imperial Kings Crown.

Brief History

The Corps of Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME ) is a Corp of the British Army which repairs and maintains the Infantry, Royal Artillery and  Royal Armoured Corp equipment and other army units.

The Corps of Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers was formed on 1 October 1942, which included tradesmen transferred from the Royal Army Ordinance  Corp, Royal Army Service Corp and Royal Engineers.
