US European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal

A European–African–Middle Eastern Campaign Medal constructed in bronze complete with original ribbon.   The obverse of the medal includes an invasion scene with a landing craft.  The reverse of the medal Asiatic–Pacific and American Campaign Medals depicts an eagle embossed with the text “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA 1941-1945” measuring 35mm in diameter, in mint condition.

Description

The European–African–Middle Eastern Campaign Medal is a military award of the United States Armed Forces which was first created on November 6, 1942, by Executive Order 9265 issued by President Franklin D. Roosevelt.  The medal was intended to recognize those military service members who had performed military duty in the European Theater including North Africa and the Middle East during WW2.
