Rare original Waffen-SS Panzer M43 Trapezoid Cap Insignia (Waffen-SS Mützenabzeichen für Panzertruppe). Constructed of black rayon, the obverse bearing a machine-embroidered silver-grey SS Totenkopf Skull with German National Eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika above. The insignia has a minor stain otherwise in good condition.

The reverse comes complete with buckram stiffener. This unissued collar tab, is a late war piece, typical Dachau construction found by US troops in the SS storehouse when liberated in 1945 in very good condition.
