The Afrika Korps Deutsches Afrikakorps (DAK) was the German expeditionary force in Africa during the World War 2. Formed in 1941 to assist the Italians to defend Libya against British Commonwealth Desert Force in operation Compass, which was commanded by Field Marshal Erwin Rommel.
After the defeat of the Afrika Korp in El Alamein known as Operation Torch by the Allies the German reinforced their presence XC Army Korp and 5th Panzer Army. The Africa Korp and Axis forces finally surrendered in North Africa on the 13th May 1943.

Heer Afrikakorp Pith Helmet 2nd Pattern By Mayser Hutfabrik
An original WW2 Heer Afrikakorp Pith Helmet 2nd Pattern by Mayser Hutfabrik, Lindenberg. The pith helmet is constructed in cork, covered in olive drab felt, with a green leather chin strap. The helmet includes two bunt metal first pattern insignia, on the left side is the Heer eagle in silver with a black background, and on the right side is the National tri-colour shield. The interior of the helmet is lined with red felt, complete with a light tan leather sweatband which is marked "1942" and includes "M" logo for Mayser Hutfabrik, Lindenberg, complete with a size tag "56". The crown has an alloy grommet securing the ventilation cap complete with the maker's mark D.R.G.M. The pith helmet is unworn, with no damage or moth holes in good condition perfect for any collection.

Heer EM/NCO Field Buckle With Tropical Webbing Belt
A very deseriable Heer EM/NCO field buckle with tropical webbing belt. The buckle is die-stamped in steel and retains its olive drab paint and the reverse is marked 'B&N 43' for Berg & Nolte A.G. in Lüdenscheid, in 1943. The tropical webbing belt is marked '100' which marks the length and '1942'. The buckle and webbing belt are in worn condition.

Luftwaffe EM/NCO Field Buckle With Tropical Webbing Belt by EC
A rare Luftwaffe EM/NCO field buckle with tropical webbing belt by EC. The buckle is contructed in steel die-stamped with beautiful field blue paint and the revesre of the catch is spolt welded, with the maker mark 'EC' for the firm Ebberg & Co. The tropical webbing belt is lightly faded and has no markings and is approx 100 inches long. The buckle and webbing belt have no damage or repairs, both in good condition.
