A British Army Guards Regimental Sergeant Majors Badge circa 1950s, embroidered on padded khaki wool backing. The RSM badge depicts the British Royal Coat of Arms, with the royal garter in the centre and the motto “Honi soit Qui Mal y Pense” (Evil to him who evil thinks) flanked by a lion and horse surmounted by the Queen’s crown. Below the royal garter is a scroll with the motto of the monarch “Deu et mon droit” meaning God and my right.

The badge depicts the order of the garter in white metal bearing the motto of the Order “Honi soit qui mal y pense” (Evil to him who evil thinks) in silver gilt lettering with blue enamel background with, the centre has a textured background over which a cross in red enamel. The reverse is unmarked complete with lugs in good condition.

The badge comes complete with silver maker mark HT (Henry Tatton) Edinburgh 1915. The badge has no damage or repairs in mint condition.
