DORSETSHIRE REGIMENT CAP BADGE
The regimental cap badge of the Dorsetshire Regiment depicts the Castle and key of Gibraltar, with a Sphinx on a tablet inscribed MARABOUT above. Below the castle, a scroll inscribed with the motto ‘PRIMUS IN INDIS’ (First In India). A laurel wreath encloses the castle and motto scroll and joins the tablet at the top. At the bottom, beneath the scroll, the wreath joins a further scroll inscribed ‘DORSETSHIRE’.
