Luftwaffe Afrika Korp Breast Eagle
The Luftwaffe Afrika Korp NCO’s Breast Eagle was worn on the tropical shirts. The Eagle was not trimmed but embroidered on triangular cotton, with the edged folded before stitched by machine.
The Afrika Korps was formed on 11th January 1941, which was led by one WW2 German favorite generals, Erwin Rommel, who was put in command on the 11th of February 1941.
Jagdgesschwader 27 (JG 27) was the fighter wing of the Luftwaffe during WW2, the wing was given the name “Africa” and served in the North African Campaign from April 1941 – September 1942. The unit fought in every major theatre in which the Wehrmacht operated.
