National Faithful Service Medal 50 Years Medal By Deschler & Sohn

An original National Faithful Service Medal 50 years by Deschler & Sohn, constructed from die-struck nickel silver with a gold-coloured gilt finish, the medal includes its original ribbon and clasp. The ring bears the ‘1’ stamp identifying Deschler & Sohn of Munich as the maker. On the reverse, it features the inscription “FUR TREUE DIENFTE” (meaning “FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE”). The medal measures 41mm by 41mm and has no damage or repairs in good condition.

Description

National Faithful Service Medal

The National Faithful Service Medal (Treudienst-Ehrenzeichen für Beamte Angestellte und Arbeiter im öffentlichen Dienst) was a German medal of honour instituted on the 30th January 1938, in two grades to reward civilians and military for long and faithful service.

The reverse of both awards was stamped with “Für treue Dienste” which translates to faithful Services. The ribbon for the medal is cornflower blue.
