The naval wing moved to the control of the Admiralty when the Royal Naval Air Service (RNAS) was formed in 1914. Original WW2 Royal Air Force Warrant Officers gilt metal cap badge, which depicts an eagle with its wings spread supported by four laurel fronds surmounted by King's crown with velvet backing; measuring 61mm (h) x 54 (w). The reverse of the badge is complete with both prongs, and in very good condition.
