An original West Wall Medal by Carl Poellath, complete with its original presentation packet. The medal is of die-struck alloy construction with a bronze-toned finish and an oval design bordered by overlapping oak leaves. The obverse features an open-winged eagle with swastika above a crossed sword and shovel, representing the Siegfried Line. The reverse bears the inscription “FÜR ARBEIT ZUM SCHUTZE DEUTSCHLANDS”, translated as “For work in the defence of Germany”. The award measures approximately 38.1 mm high by 28.9 mm wide and is housed in a tan paper packet. The packet is printed “Deutsches Schutzwall-Ehrenzeichen” to the front, with the maker’s mark “Carl Poellath Schrobenhausen” to the reverse, enclosed within a thin rectangular border. Overall, the medal and packet remain in good condition.

The West Wall Medal was instituted on 2 August 1939 and was given to those who designed and built the fortifications on Germany’s western borders, known as the Westwall or the Siegfried Line, and to the troops who served there between 15 June 1938 to 31 March 1939. In 1944, after the Allied invasion, it was again “re-instituted” and awarded to those who took part in the fortification of the western borders.
An original Spange 1939 1st Class By Steinhauer & Lück, constructed in silvered zinc late war. The reverse is unmarked but attributed to Steinhauer & Lück, Lüdenscheid with a vertical pin, block barrel hinge, with round soldered wire catch.
An original NSDAP Long Service Medal 10 Years with presentation box, constructed in zinc with original ribbon. The obverse of the medal has a beautiful bronze finish with nice patina, and the suspension ring is unmarked. The reverse of the NSDAP Medal has the inscription “Treue für Führer und Volk” (Loyalty to Leader and People). The presentation box is covered in brown leatherette embossed with a golden National Eagle cluchting a wreathed swastika in its talons. The reverse of the box is marked 'RZM 1/120 for Wilhelm Deumer, Ludenscheid. The NSDAP long service medal 10 years with presentation box has no damage or repairs in very good condition.

The box is covered in black leatherette embossed with a iron cross on the outer lid, inside is lined with a white rayon fabric and the base is biege felt complete with press stud catch. The decoration and the case have no damage or repairs, just a few scuff marks on the outer case otherwise in very good condition.
