Anschluss Medal With Presentation Case

An original German WW2 Anschluss Medal with presentation case. The medal is die-struck in tombak with a silver finish complete with original red ribbon with black and white edges. The presentation case is covered in red leatherette with a gold Wehrmacht eagle embossed on the lid, and the inside is lined with red velvet. The medal and case have no damage or repairs with a few slight scuff marks on the outer case, in good worn condition.

Description

Anschluss Medal

The Anschluss Medal was highly detailed and die struck based on the 1938 Party Day Badge designed by Professor Richard Klein.

This die-struck medal on the front includes is a symbolic image of a man holding the Nazi flag on a podium bearing the emblem of the Third Reich, with the second man in broken shackles.

On the reverse is the inscription “13. März 1938″ (13 March 1938) with “Ein Volk, Ein Reich, Ein Führer” (One People, One Empire, One Leader) around the outer edge.
