The 1st Battalion the Border Regiment were part of 1st Airborne Division, who were involved in the battle of Arnhem in operation Market Garden, who were inserted by Horsa gliders.

British Special Air Service WW2 Shoulder Titles
A rare set of British Special Air Service WW2 shoulder titles, machine embroidered in Cambridge blue thread on maroon woollen backiing. The reverse of the shoulder titles have a hessian style backing. This version of the title were introduced in late 1944 or early 1945 after the Regimental numbers had been discontinued. Both titles have no damage or repairs in good condition.
