Victorian Royal Military College Sandhurst Officer Cadet Helmet Plate
A Victorian Royal Military College Sandhurst Officer cadet helmet plate 1837-1901, die-stamped construction in brass and enamel. The obverse of the Victorian helmet plate depicts a seven-pointed star with a roundel in the centre which features Queen Victorias royal cypher in the centre with red enamel background, surrounded by the inscription “Nec Aspera Terrent” (Fear Nothing) with blue enamel backing, surrounded by laurel wreath. The helmet plate is surmounted by Victorian Crown. The reverse of the badge all three lugs is intact.

An original Royal Irish Regiment Officer’s Victorian Helmet Plate Circa 1881-1900, die stamped contructed in brass. The obverse of the helmet plate depicts a seven pointed star with a silver crowned harp resting in shamrock sprays, in the centre on red felt backing, surrounded by the Royal Garter with the inscription “Honi Soit Qui Maly Pense” and laurel wreath, surmounted by a Victorian crown. Beneath the Royal Garter is a ornate scroll in white metal with the inscription “The Royal Irish”. The reverse of the helmet plate is complete with brass lugs, with no damage or repairs in good conditiion.

Victorian 18th Royal Irish Regiment Cross belt Plate Buckle
An original Victorian 18th Royal Irish Regiment cross belt plate buckle, die stamped in brass. The obverse of the buckle depicts a rectangular brass buckle embossed with a Celtic Harp in the centre flanked by floral garlands of rosses, shamrocks and thistles with an Egyptian sphinx below and scroll with the inscription “XVIII ROYAL IRISH" (18th Royal Irish). Above the Celtic Harp is surmounted by Victorian Crown and a scroll with the regimental motto "Virtutis Namurcensis Praemium" (The Reward of Valour at Namur). The reverse of the 18th Royal Irish Regiment cross belt plate buckle includes two fastening hooks and lugs at the bottom to fix to leather cross belt.
